Manotick Art Association Inspirations Art Show & Sale
The Manotick Art Association is thrilled to announce that its annual spring show and sale, “Inspirations”, will be back again April 24-26. The show will feature the works of 44 area artists, featuring landscapes, abstracts, florals and wildlife painted in oils, watercolours, acrylics, pastel, batik, mixed media and photography. Many of the artists will be familiar to long-time patrons of Inspirations, but we are excited to welcome many new and exciting artists to the line-up this year. Entry is free and there is plenty of parking, as well as an accessible entrance.
Artist Feature - The Humm
theHumm is a free, monthly, independent newspaper covering arts, entertainment and ideas in the small towns and communities of the Ottawa Valley. Circulation ranges from 8,500 to 9,500 copies, depending on the season. It is printed by the good folks at Winchester Print.
theHumm has been designed, edited and published by Kris and Rob Riendeau since 1998, and its contributors and columnists come from throughout the Valley.
Arts Carleton Place Spring Fine Art Exhibition
Arts Carleton Place is pleased to present the Spring Fine Art Exhibition. This event will take place on May 2nd & May 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Carleton Place Arena, Upper Hall 75 Neelin Street, Carleton Place. This annual juried exhibition celebrates regional artistic excellence and provides the public with an engaging opportunity to experience high-quality fine art in a welcoming and accessible setting. Admission and parking are free, and visitors will enjoy door prizes throughout the event.

CSPWC/SCPA 100th Anniversary Exhibition
“Reflections in Quiet Transition” has been accepted by jury into the CSPWC/SCPA 100th Anniversary.
The exhibition will open on December 3, 2025 and will be on display in the Lower Sisnett Lobby of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre and in the Helson Gallery until February 1, 2026.
The awards presentation and grand opening of the show will be held at the Helson Gallery on Saturday December 6, 2025.
100th Annual Open Water Exhibition
Congratulations! Your painting submission entitled: "Buttoned Threads" has been accepted by jury into the 100th Annual Open Water / L'Eau Claire Exhibition.
Visit Teichert Gallery September 11 to October 2 to experience Open Water 100, an international exhibition that recognizes, encourages, and nurtures excellence in watercolour painting.
Over 40 new watercolour paintings will be on display in this exhibition, organized by the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, this annual juried show highlights works primarily from Canada. Past shows have featured Maritime artists Gary McFarland, Poppy Balser and Ron Hazell, among others.
2025 celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the CSPWC, with Open Water one of the highlight events of the celebratory year. Teichert Gallery, located at 1723 Hollis Street, is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. Admission free.
Fun Fact: King Charles III is an honorary member of the CSPWC. Currently 75 Canadian watercolour paintings by CSPWC members are part of the Royal Collection held at Windsor Castle, with 25 additional paintings to be added in 2026.

Exhibiting the work of emerging and mid-career artists, Melt Studio and Gallery is located just outside Picton in a historic WWII-era air force barracks, fostering a vibrant creative community in a unique and inspiring space. The opening reception will be held from 1-4 on Saturday May 17th.
